Next time that interruption happens, I try to pick one small “anchor” on purpose: stop at the next shop window, buy a warm drink, and take 3 minutes to watch the rain change the street. If I can, I also choose a slightly longer route with one specific landmark in mind, so the detour feels like a decision. What feels most doable to you: a tiny treat, a deliberate pause, or a planned detour?
